Constructex have completed repairs to the Canary Wharf Pier Pontoon. Constructex were commissioned by the Client to act as Contractor with Arup as the Designer.

The works involved the replacement of corner and facing fender units, the replacement and refurbishment of pontoon hatches, the replacement of pontoon safety ladders and chains, and the replacement of pedestrian gates.

The pier is the principal access point by water for Canary Wharf with frequent Thames Clipper services. A detailed programme of works was developed by Constructex to minimise disruption. The works were delivered on schedule in September 2020.

All relevant licenses and approvals including the MMO and PLA were secured by Constructex prior to commencement.
